On October 4th , a new work session was held with the Port Community of the Port of Aveiro, within the Ecclipse Project – Assessment of Climate Change in Southwest Europe, with emphasis on the effects and impacts of climate change in the Port of Aveiro.
Throughout the session, several scenarios of the evolution of hydrodynamic and meteorological conditions in the Aveiro harbour for different time horizons were presented by HIDROMOD, a partner in the project, and the Physics Department of the University of Aveiro/CESAM made known the work it has been developing within the scope of climate change.
Finally, the Port of Aveiro gave notice of the port studies and projects in progress, which aim at its resilience to the effects of climate change.
